Today, I'd like to introduce the causes and solutions of bubbles in the light touch switch.
The main material of this switch is our LCP material. Every time our material supplier comes to the machine after injection, we will have a working procedure. This process is to dry our plastic material, which is also called quenching by the industry. So what is the main purpose of quenching? The purpose of quenching is to dry our plastic materials with moisture, and use our plastic materials to achieve the drying effect. After quenching, we will proceed to our next step, that is, our injection molding process. Then we will assemble and inspect our products and pack them for shipment.
After so many processes, why does our light touch switch have the abnormal phenomenon of blistering after the furnace is over? Let's see in the picture on our left, our switch blistering is more serious, in fact, the problem is very simple, our SMD process will produce high temperature, LCP material itself is a high temperature resistant product, is also very consistent with the SMD process material. The problem lies in the quenching of one of our processes. If our plastic materials are not completely dried during quenching, our plastic materials will be carried out in the next process with a certain moisture content. Without high temperature operation, it is difficult to find that it will foam, so we will have a PCB experiment in the inspection step.
